With 355 Km of coastline,
more than 4500 Km of marked paths, 2 Regional Wilderness Areas,
5 nature reserves and 4000 hectares of land acquired as sensitive
natural areas, the Manche is rich with a many-faceted preserved
nature.
On foot, on bicycle, on mountain bikes, on horseback,
in canoes-kayaks, in wind buggies or surfing, or fishing or climbing,
all the assets of the Manche in France are open to you, allowing you
to practice your favorite activity at your own rhythm.
La Manche offer you over 1200 km of cycle routes on traffic-free paths, quiet lanes and country roads with little traffic!
230
km of green ways, on old railway lines and tow paths, bring you through
an ideal environment, entirely dedicated to walking, cycling and horse
riding. The Network is well signposted and connects towns, villages and
countryside. Some low traffic secondary roads link green ways with
railway stations and the coast.
For
cycling enthusiasts, cycle loops are circular routes of around 20
kilometres each, using small country lanes chosen for their picturesque
character and the richness of the regions they pass through. They offer
an excellent opportunity to explore both the seaside landscapes and the
hidden treasures of the bocage countryside. 41 are signposted in Manche
and ideal for family outings.
